IN YOUR HANDS

We all have great potential for faith and power. It is also possible for us to be filled with fear and weakness. Many times these two go together. Faith in the face of fear and power in the face of weakness. We often look outside of ourselves for the courage that we seek when all the while God has placed the ability deep within.

Moses, when faced with the red sea, and chased by the Egyptian army cried out to God who alone could save them. Then The Lord said "why are you crying out to me? what is that in your hands?".

The truth is that it is always in our hands. The decisions we need to make and the actions we need to take. It is isn't apart from ourselves. Its really in us and to a large extent, up to us.

The young lad with his five loaves and two fish might have said to himself, in the light of the great crowd and multitude, I do not believe this is sufficient. The Lord proved himself mighty in the offering of his meager meal. A little is all the lord really needs from us. we are capable of great things if only we are willing to commit to the little.

Moses had a rod. In the feeding of the five thousand, the lad only had five loaves and two fish. David only had a sling and a stone. Gideon had three hundred men. Jehoshaphat had his praise. The widow at zarephat had her little jar of oil. These things though little in the eyes of men, in the eyes of these men of faith did great wonders.

So what do you have in your hands? what do you have that you need to use? what decisions do you need to make? what actions must you take today?

In the words of NIKE, just do it!!!...........theres a miracle in your hands. Have a great week

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Matt 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God"

Poverty is spirit is in contrast to spiritual pride and self sufficiency. God never expects us to be self sufficient and independent of Him. We ought to be totally dependent on God. Our sufficiency is of Him who has called us by His own goodness and virtue.

Blessed are those who have identified their need for God, for theirs is the reign of the heavenly king. The kingdom of God is the reign of God. Where ever God's word is law is the reign of God. If His word reigns in your spirit, then, your spirit is the kingdom of God. If he reigns in your body, your body is the kingdom of God. If in your family then, your family is an extension of God's kingdom. God's kingdom is the rule of God.

Only those who see their need for God will experience the reign of God...........blessed are the poor in spirit.

TIMES AND SEASONS

The Lord speaking to Abraham said "This time next year ACCORDING TO THE TIME OF LIFE.....". You see times and seasons are in God's hands. He is the God who makes all things beautiful only in HIs Time. The race is never to the swift, battle never to the strong, bread never to the man of understanding, but chance and time happen to all men.

Chance and time are both in the hands of God. He is the one who orchestrates events to favour men. He is the one that works everything together for our good. He is the one who said if we walk before him, we would bear our fruit in our own season. The operative words are "our" and "season". Not in another man's time or season but in our own season.....in our own time.

Apples and Oranges never compete for season because their seasons are different. We need to relax and trust The Lord to lift us up in our season. What we should be asking God for is to help us to know and act accordingly in our season.

Times and Seasons are in the hands of God and we must learn to respond in line with the seasons. The sons of issachar had understand of times and seasons and knew what Israel ought to do. Understanding and action are two important things we must have at the right seasons.

Lord teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart to wisdom. I need to act wisely in my season and so do you. cheers
